About me
For the past two decades, environmental education and conservation communications positions with CPAWS Southern Alberta and Parks Canada, have bolstered Sheri's belief that all humans are better humans when they wander, wonder and play outdoors! Possessing an honours degree in Canadian Studies from the University of Guelph, she is an accredited Professional Interpretive & Hiking Guide and Environmental Education Specialist renowned for her infectious enthusiasm and wide-eyed love of nature.
Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) is Canada’s voice for wilderness. Its 13 chapters nationwide are working to protect Canada’s public lands and waters. The mission of the Southern Alberta Chapter is to safeguard, connect, and expand parks and wilderness through education, engagement, and collaboration with Albertans. CPAWS Southern Alberta has been delivering multi-visit, in-class environmental education and outdoor interpretive programs for 25 years. CPAWS experiences are hands-on, inclusive, science-based, fun and focused on empowering youth to take environmental action.
