Moneka is a dedicated and compassionate inclusive education teacher with a career spanning over two decades. She has devoted her professional life to supporting high-risk populations and students with diverse learning challenges. Moneka's journey began with a passion for education and a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of inclusive teaching. Armed with a dream and numerous certifications in inclusive pedagogy, Moneka started her career in the social service setting where she quickly became known for her innovative approaches and unwavering commitment to her students. Her classrooms are characterized by an environment of acceptance, tailored learning strategies, and a focus on the unique strengths of each student. Moneka has worked extensively with children facing various obstacles, including those with learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. She is skilled in designing individualized education plans (IPPs) and implementing differentiated instruction techniques to ensure that every student can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Beyond her classroom responsibilities, Moneka is an active advocate for inclusive education and mental health. Moneka recently obtained her Master's degree in Counselling psychology and in her down time, she can be found working with bereaved parents walking through the grief journey together. Moneka's dedication extends beyond the school walls, as she frequently collaborates with families, and community organizations, to create supportive networks for her students. Her holistic approach ensures that her students not only succeed academically but also develop the social and emotional skills necessary for lifelong success. Through her unwavering commitment, Moneka continues to inspire and empower students, demonstrating the profound difference that inclusive education can make in the lives of those who need it most.
