About me
Danna Ormstrup– Bio.
Danna began working with kids and adults with Learning Disabilities in the early 80s while she completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She furthered her learning through attending Mount Royal University in the Recreation Therapy faculty. Her career has included working with moms who had parenting difficulties, holding the role of a teaching assistant, a manager of an agency that supported adults with Developmental Disabilities and finally to the position she currently holds today – Director of the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society. Her new role as an FASD Instructional Coach is very exciting for Danna as her passion for school environments will be able to be translated into meaningful experiences for educators, administrators and all school staff!
Danna has a deep belief in the fact that empathy can encourage us to be creative effective responders to “all things FASD” and that with compassion, all things are possible!
