About me
Anne-Marie joined the Association’s Teacher Employment Services executive staff in 2018. Anne-Marie holds a BA in International Relations, a BEd in Elementary French Immersion and a MEd in Educational Technology for Schools, all from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining the Association, Anne-Marie taught junior and senior high school Social Studies for 12 years with Calgary Catholic. She has taught in English and French. Anne-Marie was a Coordinating Teacher for 4 years (developing and teaching online courses for high school Social Studies) and served as Local 55’s TWC chair, the NSC vice-chair, a representative for the local council and an ARA delegate. Provincially, she was a member of the Professional Practice Appeal Committee and a Teacher Welfare Liaison. In addition to acting as a representative of the bargaining agent, Anne-Marie is the staff advisor to the Fine Arts Council and expert in the area of Occupational Health and Safety.
