Whole Novels for the Whole Class: A Student Centered Approach
Thursday February 20, 2025 9:00am - 10:00am MST
Looking to revamp your novel studies and make them more student-friendly? This session will delve into how to do just that! The Whole Novels approach is based on the premise that students need to read the WHOLE NOVEL before discussing and analyzing. Whole novel studies are propelled by students' authentic responses to the text rather than to teacher questioning. Students learn habits of response, critical thinking, rereading, and group discussion, and generate their own questions for further investigation and writing. With this approach, you will be able to facilitate authentic reading experiences for students and foster a community of readers.

Concevoir des grilles d'évaluation à échelle descriptive
Friday February 21, 2025 9:00am - 10:00am MST

Authentic Worship | understanding & teaching the connection between worship & purity
Friday February 21, 2025 10:20am - 11:20am MST
We live in a society where the word purity has become entangled in a gray area of post modernism & self-indulgence. Teaching authentic worship goes beyond just a faith or catechism class in school. It needs to be integrated into our systems as a whole. Accomplishing this requires a paradigm shift in both our mentality and our approach. Drawing from concepts laid out in his book, Peter guides us through the beginnings of what this shift might look like. Participants are invited to reflect, to journey, and to share.

The Purity Pandemic | dealing with disaster in our postmodern world
Friday February 21, 2025 11:40am - 12:40pm MST
We are in a crisis. Our students are being faced with choices that they are ill equipped to make. A society of pornography and rape culture is infiltrating our well-being with incredibly severe consequences. We shy away from discussing the issues & pay a huge price. Not for the faint of heart, Peter offers an in-depth and in-your-face talk to teachers & educators about purity. While from the perspective of the Christian faith, principals shared transcend religious backgrounds. It’s time to talk about it. It’s time to fight back.

Pourquoi faire une rétroaction efficace?
Friday February 21, 2025 1:00pm - 2:00pm MST
